The Hualien station of Taiwan's Long-Term Social-Ecological Research (LTSER) is one of Taiwan's core social-ecological observation stations. Our research team consists of 8 professors from National Dong Hwa University's College of Environmental Studies and College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and National Taiwan Normal University's College of Life Science. We monitor ecological services and socioeconomic changes in Hualien County, focusing on climate change impacts, biodiversity, and land use patterns to understand how climate change, government policies, and land use processes affect the region's social-ecological systems.
